The Fountain Centre provides a caring environment for patients newly diagnosed with cancer, in order to balance the traditional approaches to cancer treatment with a range of complementary therapies and individual support.

Located in St. Luke’s Cancer Centre at the Royal Surrey, they see very few men with prostate cancer. The reason could be that men think the Centre is staffed by females and are too embarrassed to go there.

In fact, it has both male and female therapists and counsellors. Patients can specify that they want to see a male therapist/counsellor and the first 6 counselling sessions are free. Thereafter they ask for a donation of between £10 and £20 per session. The Centre also offers one to one hands on therapies, acupuncture and hyno-therapies and the first 4 sessions are free for patients with cancer.
