Spring 2004 Edition

A word of thanks from our Chairman

Colin Stokes

It's time to say thank you again. Every day it seems, I receive contributions from all over the world. Recently we have had donations in memory of Mr Charles Hall, and Mr Edward Fox. This is a great way of remembering someone in the most positive of ways. We are grateful to West Surrey Golf Club and The Drift Golf Club Seniors section who supported us in 2003 and of course to Milford Golf Club who regularly support us. Concerts have been sung on our behalf by Guildford Philharmonic Choral Society and The Occam Singers and next year, Surrey Police Choir will be performing on our behalf. Individuals have climbed mountains on our behalf and now Mike Parsons and Steve Owen have raised £19,000, achieving lifetime ambitions that you can read about in this newsletter.

We are grateful to everyone who has contributed, whether it is £2 from our 'every man in the district' appeal through to the most generous personal donation - each one of them helps our Charity to grow and be more productive. Our administration costs are virtually zero as all the work is done voluntarily.

So thank you to Tim Sharp and previously Tony Connor who have put together this newsletter so we are able to communicate with you all. Thanks to Tim for getting the web site back into operation and for producing all our fine leaflets. If you would like to discuss anything related to our charity, please feel free to contact me either by phone on 01483 419501 or email at .
