June 11 an important date for Surrey and Hampshire GPs.
In an effort to give Surrey and Hampshire GP's an opportuntiy to hear the very latest developments in the diagnoses and treatment of prostate cancer, The Prostate Project has organised a 1 day, 2 session Seminar (identical morning and afternoon sessions) to be held at Surrey University on June 11. We are extremenly fortunate to have secured the services of Professor Fritz Schröder, one of Europe's leading authorities on prostate cancer who will be our guest speaker. This is an opportunity for GP's in Surrey and Hampshire who are our 'front line' of defence in the fight against this disease, to get right up to date and also to question local consultants on the subject.
Included in the programme will be PSA Testing, Early Diagnosis Benefits, Brachytherapy, Cryosurgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Conformal Radiotherapy, Drug Therapy, Diet Research and Post Treatment Care.
As Frimley Park Consultant Bruce Montgomery says "This is a disease of our time which will not go away, and I suspect that GPs will have more and more patients coming to discuss treatment options in the future".
Any GP who has not received an invitation who would like to attend should register either by fax to: Christine Bean at Frimley Park Hospital on 01276 604490. Alternatively you can telephone John Wyeth on: 01276 505115 or email him at: .
