New prostate cancer Database on line between Guildford and Frimley

Good News From Frimley Park!

The Southwest Prostate Cancer (SPOC) Database which is run from St. Luke's Cancer Centre in Guildford, is now available at Frimley Park Hospital via the Computer Network. This means that patients with prostate cancer will have information entered by clinicians at Frimley Park Hospital and St Luke's onto a common record which will be available to patients wherever they are seen. Patients will also be able to track the progress of their treatment with graphs of their PSA (a marker for how much prostate cancer is present).

Its use is being pioneered in the Brachytherapy outpatient clinic with patients undergoing Surgery, Radiotherapy and Cryotherapy added to the database as work progresses.
